SPSS version 6.13 is available on, a central UNIX server. Data may be entered directly in this window or read from a file. Spreadsheet appearance: Using interactive graphical SPSS, data are displayed in a matrix similar to a spreadsheet.

Programming (e.g., computation, recodes, conditional execution and looping). SPSS is a comprehensive statistical package with substanital programming and data-transformation features.
